Bio
Heroes, villains, losers, winners....such are the characters that make up the music of singer/songwriter Ron Christopher.
His melodies are compelling, insistent, always alluring, delivered in a deeply resonant voice evocative of Marty Robbins, Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash.
His writing has been inspired by Kris Kristofferson, Tom Russell and Joe Ely to name a few. His CD is thematically well woven to embrace the romanticism of the American West, created by strong, thoughtfully crafted lyrics, clothed in melodies that fit just right....familiar, but not predictable.

Ron is originally from St. Petersburg, Florida but now makes his home in Los Angeles, California. He has worked extensively as a solo act as well as with his band, performing in venues from New York to Los Angeles.
His CD "Into The West" was awarded Album of the Year 2016 by The AWA....The Academy of Western Artists in Ft Worth, Texas.

His song about The Alamo, "Line in the Sand", was awarded Western Song of the Year 2018 by the Academy of Western Artists.
In 2020, Ron received the Western Songwriter of the Year Award from the IWMA, the International Western Music Association.
